Ferdinand NAGY, General Commissioner of The Romanian Section for EXPO 2005

Mister Ferdinand Nagy was named General Commissioner of the Romanian Section for EXPO 2005, with rank of secretary of state in The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the 3 rd of November 2003.

He graduated the “Ion Mincu” Institute of architecture from Bucharest, in the year 1986.

He started his professional activity in the construction works for the “Parliament Palace”, from 1989 working as an architect at the Projection Institute from Satu Mare. During 1991-2000 he activated as a general director in a private company.

During 2001-2003, Mister Ferdinand Nagy exercised the function of general secretary at the National Authority for the Consumer's Protection, taking in direct coordination the activity of control and supervising of the market and the activity of legal harmonizing with the communitarian aquis for the chapter 23 - “the protection of health and consumers”. In this quality, he participated to many conferences, communication sessions and seminars in the fields of insurance of the products under the market's supervision, the consume credit, the mortgage's credit, the consumer's rights, policy in the consumer's protection field, the market economy and democracy.

Ferdinand Nagy was born on the 27 th of October 1961 in Baia Mare. He is married.

He speaks fluently English, German and Hungarian.
