THE CONCEPT REGARDING THE NATIONAL THEME
The theme of the World Exhibition: Heritage for the future

Located at the meeting-points of civilizations, enjoying a harmonious relief, Romania brought an original note to the concert of European culture and history.

The contents of the exhibition are the following:

Nature and tradition, roots of cultural richness

The Romanian civilization is a European one with an identity defined in the early times and which shows in all its aspects the link between man-nature-culture in an original synthesis respecting and framing the diversity.

	Romania, so close: media presentation, displayed on the touch-screen support from the Pavilion, presenting basic information about the history, geography, religion, culture and civilisation of Romania.
	From tradition to universality: art and artists, creations and creators that get the inspiration from the natural treasure and that individualized Romania to the universal culture, subject of a documentary presentation on the touch-screens.
	Cultural legacy: the treasure of the traditional crafts, the folcklore treasure (live presentation of popular songs, dances and costumes)
	Together for nature: presentation of the protected areas, the Green corridor of the lower Danube, the Danube Delta, supported by a documentary and a media presentation from the Pavilion touch-screens.
	The magic of traditional lifestyle: the rural and cultural tourism (mainly from Bucovina, Maramures regions etc) subject of a media presentation from the Pavilion touch-screens.

Science and technology building a civilization in harmony with nature, connecting our country theme to the general theme of the World Exhibition "Nature's Wisdom"

Creativity has been, throughout the history of the Romanian civilization, one of the corner stones which supported the creation and developement of a modern society.

Research is the domain which will open new gates towards a better life and Romania want to present to the Japanese public its potential.

	Romanian contribution to invention history is the subject of a media presentation on the Pavilion's touch-screens
	Research, driving force for humankind in the XXI century: the science of complexity, eco-house etc media presentation
	Space tools for a better life: the description of phenomena specific to the periterrestrial space and to the close and distant universe, international cooperation in the space field, space research and the protection of the terrestrial environement, through a documentary and media presentation
