Aichi-Nagoya International Business Access Center (I-BAC) was founded with the help of the Prefecture's Office of Aichi, of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nagoya, of JETRO Nagoya, of the local office for Economy, Commerce and Industry and of the Japanese Association for EXPO 2005 Aichi, Japan, benefitting of its own network of specialists, able to offer the following services:

Evaluation of the conditions of access to the Japanese market: analysis of the possibilities of marketing the products, present conditions of the market, relevant market information concerning the norms and regulations already in force; |

Possibilities of product exhibition with the oportunity of sale of certain products, in a pilot shop for promotional sales, with a surface of 12 sqm, organized in a supermarket in Nagoya; |
|
Assistance for the seminars organized to promote the Economic presence of participanting nations. |
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Ministry of Economy and Trade promoted these facilities among the Romanian companies. The object of activity of these companies has been selected by the Ministry of Economy and Trade are: wines, mineral water, handicraft, decorative glassware, furniture and musical instruments.
Following the forwarding of the application, I-BAC assigned to the companies of Romania a commercial surface within MEITETSU Department Store (downtown the city of Nagoya), between May 25 th - 31 st, 2005.
ORGANIZATION OF SOME BUSINESS SEMINARS
The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs proposes the organization of some periodical business seminars, intended to promote the image of Romania in Japan, as a secure destination for investments, of the comparative advantages offered by our country, presentation of the investment opportunities from Romania, as well as the presentation of same case-studies of joint investment projects, whose example can be followed by other investors.

The sectorial concept had in view within the project, intends to promote Romanian products and their international competitivity, by middle- and long term orientation towards the Japanese and the South-East Asian market, by:

“Development of finished products with high added value”, increasement of the added value of its own products and diminishing of the dependency on the production in the lohn system, by concentrating the activity on the generation of products with high added value, as well as on the development of a modern system of quality ensurance; |
|
“Improvement of productivity” by a better organization and technical equipment. |
Within the marge of the National Day, June 1 st 2005, took place “The Romanian-Japanese Economic Forum”, where was presented information referring to the Romanianbusiness environment was presented.
The Forum was be organized jointly with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and of the Municipality of Bucharest (CCIRMB), the Ministry of Economy and Trade – Department of Trade, as well as with the specialized associations.
